  1. I like the idea of a survey. They allow people to be honest and also help focus in on certain issues or concerns. It's one of the biggest challenges finding parents who can find the time to be more involved. I think your on the right track...

  2. Thanks! I hope that parents feel comfortable being honest. The ability to really correct any current issues will rely on parents' willingness to report openly about what currently holds them back. I hope to encourage parental involvement at home in a way that will truly be effective. I know that as wonderful as it would be to have more active parents at school functions, if parents worked with their children at home or even just encouraged them regularly it would make a big difference in how the students felt about education.

  3. Ty,

Your plan seems quite detailed and doesn't leave questions unanswered. I like the fact that you are establishing where parental involvement is now to be able to determine the effect of your research. I'm excited about how your study will go and have hopes I can learn from your research since I have the same topic as you.

  4. Your plan is one that is very intriguing. It is well thought out. I love the opportunity for student feed back. Parental involvement is something our campus struggles with. What I don't understand is what happened to the old school PTS that we all grew up with. Where did that go?And don't tell me its because more parents work. Yada yada. My parents both worked. They found a way
